Thanks. You could call it going down a rabbit hole. I can't say it makes financial sense, but I'm a tool collecting guy, and wanted to make sure I could handle any Crossfire problems that come up. I do all my own car repairs and maintenance, and planned to keep my first Crossfire a long time with no end date in mind. After getting the second Crossfire it made sense to me to get the DRBIII which I acquired first, and then learned it didn't fully work on the 07 Crossfire which led to getting the Starscan. I had to learn how to upgrade the software in it, and then had to get a special Crossfire cable to use with it. That cable cost an absurd $250 and took me six months to find on ebay. I was pleased I was able to reverse engineer the cable wiring, and component inside, and made my own extended 12" version.
