Have a crack in my current rim and need a used replacement...minor road rash will be fine, will match what I have customizes on the others. In New Mexico, so shipping may be needed

I'm in Jax and have a set of Limited wheels with one rear that is cracked.

I am understanding that a crack in an alloy wheel can be fixed with a knowledgeable TIG welder . There are several videos on removing dents in wheels and fixing cracks you might want to check out. I understand that Orlando has several shops that profess to fix a dented wheel, perhaps Jax has as well. Good luck.

 

Thanks for all the fast responses. I have been a little behind in updating my profile, moved from JAX to Hawaii and now in New Mexico. Shipping from JAX may be a touch high, so not sure if I will be going that route or not. Sorry for the confusion on my location. Current wheel not only has the crack, but I have scraped the edges of the rim a lot...so may be looking at a replacement rim or one of the new replicas.

If you're now in NM, you're better off looking for a reputable wheel repair shop.


TIG welding is the preferred method of repairing it.


At this point shipping to NM for one wheel is going to be about what a repair would be. I know I was quoted $40 for the weldup here in Jax.
