Wtb pair of headlights
Re: Wtb pair of headlights
Finding a pair of decent used headlights will be a difficult challenge and if you DO find a pair they will not be cheap. Best open up your piggy bank and be prepared to spend about $1000.00 for a pair of new ones. I expect even new headlights might soon become "unavailable".
Re: Wtb pair of headlights
Yeh I've seen the prices around $900-$1000 for the pair. I fortunately found a place that has them for that price brand new. If I'm unable to get them off the forums for a better price used then I'm just gonna end up ordering them since it's difficult tracking them down.

Re: Wtb pair of headlights
I have helped maxchicon restore many units. If they are not physically cracked or have holes in them, then I'd say there is a 95% chance they can be saved if done using his method, then installing xpel or lamin-x covers.
Send Max a pm and see if he will take on the challenge.

Many Chrysler specific parts had been on what seemed permanent back order. I was surprised to see items like the front fender liners become available. I thought the headlights would become increasing scarce as the existing dealer/warehouse inventory was depleted. Some new headlights I've seen have had more recent manufacture dates on them, so it's clear they did make more. The price on the new ones continue to increase. A $600 plus headlight is a bargain compared to Chrysler's $830 price for a water pump. Good thing there are many after market options for those. It's unfortunate and surprising there are no aftermarket headlight options.

Yeh i was surprised to see that there wasn't a single aftermarket option for the headlights. Not sure why that is.
Re: Wtb pair of headlights
With demand for replacement units so low, it is not economically feasible to invest in the tooling to produce new units.
There is an opportunity for someone : acquire a good pair, find a firm in China willing to clone a few hundred from them and corner the market !
( Same on the fog lights )

Total manufacture run of @ 72,000 cars, many are now gone to that great scrap yard in the sky.

The trouble is that for a large company to take them from storage, inspect them and run them for a a day to make some is not economically viable unless the cost can be regained with considerable profit.
CIBA was the OEM manufacturer I believe. Phone them.
