Re: Hankook recall
My backs are on the recall list. A dealer has been trying to reach me. I think only my backs will get replaced but I have 275/35 R19 and I do not see that as an option on their current listing. Not sure what they will do for me because of that. May have to go back to original size or 275/40R19
Re: Hankook recall
My installer had a certified letter that they signed from Tire Rack and they called me to come pick it up. It was from Hankook and it specifically stated what tires were recalled. Only specific tires within the stated sizes. Both of mine were outside of the range that was recalled. It was the last four numeric digits on the 275/35R19 Nobles that took mine out of the recall. The letter basically stated they would give you a refund or credit for the original purchase. I was thinking...maybe they will just give me a refund if I tell them they were within the range...but they will probably want verified proof via a Hankook dealer since it tells you to call one of them or their central office if you have defective tires. My letter said nothing about replacing them with another set of Nobles...which would be difficult since it seems the size above is no longer in the Noble lineup.
The Nobles are 50K+ tires. They are not as tight as the Continentals or the old Generals but they also have almost no road noise, no thumping and no balancing issues at any speeds so far with 17K on them..hopefully it will stay that way for another 20K
