Tire Question
Tire Question
can anyone tell me the original brand of tire on a 2005 Coupe? I had those tires for 29,000 miles through snow etc., had to replace in July 2012 and after 13,000 I have to replace them again. My replacement tires were Continental and ran me about $1,200. I cannot find the original paperwork showing this info. I appreciate any advice you can give me.....many brands out there. Live in Florida, so obviously don't need tires to carry me through the snow and ice. Thank you

Re: Tire Question
Below is from 2005 Crossfire Specifications Base & Limited, it looks like the Continentals were the "standard" tire and the Michelens were an option only on Limited coupe's. There is nothing about the SRT6 in this brochure but I'm pretty sure the tires choices were the same. I know Crossfires came with a Continental All-Season tire also, my car had its original Continental All-Season tires on it when I bought it used.
Michelin Pilot Sport 2—Coupe Limited;
Continental SportContact 2—Coupe, Roadster & Roadster Limited

Re: Tire Question
Yep, 2004, only options were transmission, tires and colors. 2005 added a few things but I think the same summer or all season tires were the choice.
autoblog.com is very good at this info, and seems to be fairly accurate. It was formerly AOL Autos site.
You can basically build and price most older cars from factory information.
It shows either "Performance" or "All Season Performance" for $185 more, for either Base or Limited.
