Mike, I am watching this thread closely. These little cars will certainly need replacement as they get older. It would be great to go to poly if possible....

Doc, I would like to do poly bushings all around if it weren't so spendy.... hopefully the other set will fit the mounting bolts...Woody seems to have gotten them on and they look correct...not compressed to fit....

Ok.... I got the other bushings today... they do NOT have brackets with them... the hole diameter is 15/16" and looks VERY similar to the 9.5156G set.... these will not work either....

So.... I went on the energysuspension.com site and found that they make two bracket size products...

It looks like the one we need is the smaller bracket that fits mounts 2 1/16" to 2 7/8". (The larger one is 2 9/16" to 3 5/8").
So for the smaller bracket with the 3/4" (19mm) hole, the part number is 9.5123. This is a non-greaseable bushing. The the ones with zerk fittings are the larger size.

Mike did you get the smaller ones you found above ordered? I can find 9.5123G and 9.5123R but can't figure out the difference. From what I can tell G is black an R is red?

Jesse, that is the only difference.... I got the new ones (9.5123G) yesterday but havent had a chance to install them yet.... they look like they should fit fine based on how the other ones lined up.

Hi Mike!
Would it be possible for you to measure the size of the oem bushing? the diameter of hole is 19mm, but the other measurements. Awesome if you could help me out.

Thanks buddy! Would be great
Is your spliced? Or do you have to put it on from far away and slide it in?

I got the 9.5123G 19mm bushings in as well with brackets, that were split without grease nipples.

I installed the polybushings last night. Made the noise go away and made a noticable difference this morning on my way to work. The rear feels more secure and the rattling is gone.

the nuts are require a 13mm deep socket (except the front nut on the passanger side, for some reason is aligned a little different than the driver side and a suspension arm was in the way causing the deep socket to be too long and at an angle), I installed the new brackets with the nut towards the front of the car before the one facnig the rear. The first bushing install was a breeze, the second was difficult because the sway bar was so hard to manipulate with the first poly bushing already being installed and torqued. If I were to do it again I would install one side at a time, but not torque them down until both are installed.

Jesse, you did grease the bushing when you installed them, right? I will do mine this afternoon.

Yes I did, they came with some grease. I am really suprised at how stiff the new bushings are. The old rubber ones were definatley worn out and very soft. They were compressing and causing the sway bar to come in contact with the bracket.

Thanks for the updates. Any clue what the NA should be using? I could never find a reference to the true size of the rear sway

15 or 16mm?

I looked at the 16mm options on the site and the specs on this were as close as I could find to the 19mm you all found

16mm

The 15mm options do not have the bracket specs listed like the 19/16

I took some pictures with a tape measure of the OEM bushings that I can post tonight. The energy suspension ones are much thicker and a little wider but I didn't measure those, sorry.
