I lifted my XF!
Re: I lifted my XF!
if you cant read the wording "eibach" without standing on your head, they are on upside down.
Make sure the spring is seated in the groove in the lower control arm.
YOU DONT NEED NEW PADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Something has clearly gone wrong with the spring install. Eibachs are shorter than stock springs, so even with a 5 dot pad the car will be lower. Yours is higher, either you got the wrong springs, they are on wrong, or the fronts and backs are flip flopped.

Re: I lifted my XF!
I do understand this. Believe me, I've taken the front wheel off twice to check the part number and compared it to the Eibach instructions and specifications for front and back. And it is correct.
See the pictures I posted in my last post? I do not see anything wrong with the springs and the way they are fitted.
I have no idea what it possibly can be other than the pads. I will wait till like next wednesday and when there still is no significant "drop" I'll go back to the shop and show them the pictures of before and after, showing that something must be wrong, even if the springs have "settled", just to shut the shop boss up. I just paid to much money for this bs.
If some of you dont mind, I'll show him your cars aswell to show him how it should look and compare it to my monster truck.
Maybe the tech forgot to remove the old spring pads and added the springs with the new ones I gave them...they even called me and asked where the pads go..........
Thanks for the help

Re: I lifted my XF!
Here'a a picture of the pad, and the dots...granted - its the rear - but the fronts are the same. Another pad would stick-out beyond the perch.
If the pads were doubled up - then the shop would have had to have extra sets in inventory... and you would have been charged....

Yeah, because they gave me all the old parts back, and there where only 2 pads in there, 1 5 dot and a 1 dot.
It seems bouncy, but I cant remember how it "bounces" when the stock springs. Oh well. Bringing it back next week and I'll show him that facts (comparing stock to "lowered") and other Crossfires.
This will be interesting...

Of course I will update next week when I'll show the shop that nothing has changed, even after a week. I am very interested to see what it really is........

Re: I lifted my XF!
I do not think any of the spring pads would raise the car like that. There is definitely something wrong with the install. Waiting for them to settle will be fruitless. It really seems like they are the wrong springs. Makes me wonder if the springs got miss stamped at the factory with the wrong part number. Good luck with getting it worked out.

my b&g are progressivlly wound and shorter than my oem's by a full coil. iirc eibachs arent progressive wound
Re: I lifted my XF!
The Eibach's are longer than stock SRT springs. I have a picture and when I find it I'll post it here. Since Germany only got 2 old spring pads back I think they put the new ones on top of the old ones in the front. By the way, my SRT had dot 2 int the front and dot 3 in the rear from the factory.

Here's the link to my photo. This was with 3/4 coil cut from the stock spring beside the Eibach. Post No. 7.
I'll measure the Eibach's in a few minutes.
