1) brand new "AMG" labeled caliper 002-420-19-83 $296.96 -OR-
2) Remanufactured no label 002-420-19-83 $97.81 CARDONE Part # P311-5B734BF Manu # 19-3165

So is having a BRAND NEW caliper with an "AMG" decal on the caliper to exactly match the one on the right worth an extra $200? That's the question. Or to get EXACTLY the same MB part number but Remanufactured and no label just fresh-silver paint yet save $200

So, save $200 and go remanufactured on one side? What say you? YES or NO
Yes, you can buy a lot of AMG transfers for $200.

A lot of people just buy the AMG decal. They paint the caliper they’re desired color and then apply the AMG decal with a couple of coats of clear. Save the 200$ 🤙🏼

https://www.ezaccessory.com is the source for the spacer I used to put the front calipers on my SRT and NA, but remember they use different front hubs. the NA has the open hole and the SRT is the capped one. I need the 10mm to clear the NA, the SRT wheel would clear a 5mm one but the do not make one that thin that is "hub centric"
Also if you look at my former post you see where I painted my calipers, I used engine paint which is good to 500F. Buy AMG stickers off eBay and put the on, then get the clear engine paint and put on several coats, mine still look good, and my NA is a daily driver.

Each of the individual parts of a break calliper from a Mercedes have a Mercedes part number on it. That way various parts can be assembled together to form a different assembly that fits another car model.
why don’t we give the numbers of the parts? That way a calliper could be said to fit or not fit a particular model, someone says a C32 calliper when callipers from another model are identical.

I’m a little confused. Are the billet hub spacers required (must have) to complete the C32 front brake calliper upgrade?
5mm for NA HUB?
10mm for SRT HUB?

I can't say for an SRT but for an NA/Limited although you only NEED at least a 5mm spacer the narrowest width available is 10mm... and you MUST HAVE IT or the caliper scrapes against the inside of the wheel. DHS can answer your question regarding the SRT.

I'll be damned (simply an unfortunate fact) they darn sure do! OK then on a BRAND NEW (NOT rebuilt) right front C32 AMG caliper, Mercedes-Benz PART NUMBER 0024202083 that I ordered/received from a MB dealership the INDIVIDUAL MB part numbers are:
20.7915.02 inner caliper housing 2 pistons with the brake-hose connection
20.7046.04 outer caliper housing 2 pistons with an "AMG" decal on it
20791402 is the bridge with the bleed-nipple in it. On the mounting-ear it has 345 cast into it (to be used with 345mm disc/rotor)
20791401 is the bridge without the bleed-nipple in it. On the mounting-ear it has 345 cast into it (to be used with 345mm disc/rotor)
NOTE: I have typed these part numbers EXACTLY as they appear on the caliper, with '.' or without... even though it doesn't make a hill of beans of difference.

It's HUGELY IMPORTANT that people match the diameter of their rotors to the number printed on the caliper's mounting-ears, as the larger that number the longer the mounting-ears will be to clear a larger rotor. You can easily imagine that a 330-caliper with a 345-rotor won't even fit together, whilst a 345-caliper with a 330-rotor will bolt together BUT a large portion of the brake-pads won't even be in contact with the rotor!

Thanks for the info, my point is that someone may have a calliper
set that fits but knows it is not from a C32 say and looks for a C32 set, thereby wasting time and money.

All this realization of how these caliper parts can be reassembled incorrectly on a rebuild is a little scary. I am looking at the $97 left-front CARDONE rebuilt and although it LOOKS LIKE a proper left-front caliper the pictures are small and you can't read ANY of the part number on it. You can also tell that the paint on the 4 reassembled caliper parts DOESN'T MATCH, which doesn't give me the greatest of confidence. All in all it has me leaning towards buying that BRAND NEW AMG caliper from the Mercedes stealership! ??????????????????????????? F'ing choices! Am I right? :-)

I had trouble with Cardone, I purchased a master brake cylinder from them and what I received was not like the one for the Crossfire. I got in touch with them and they swore it was the correct one. I said to the guy that in my hands were two different configurations of the MC. The casting was correct but the number of ports and where they were located was different.
I said he could make brownie points for himself if he informed his bosses that the data base was incorrect, he still insisted that it was the correct one, I hope he has changed jobs as he was a liability to Cardone.

Yeah after I pay bills in mid-April I'll look at my sum of "mad money" but right now I'm leaning towards paying $300 for a pretty, shiny new one from MB. After all it will match the one on the other side then (explain to me why one caliper costs $100 and the other $300!!!!!) and the caliper is the only moving part in the whole C32 kit. I don't wanna skimp on the one part most likely to fail. But anyway, yeah, mid-April is when I'll be throwing cash all over the place.

WD40,

hope you are staying healthy during these unique times.

Thanks for the reply on the c32 calipers.

I have the Mandrus wheels on my car and have a plus 1 setup 19f/20r staggered.

After reading throught this thread I think I am pretty clear on the options that I have and want to clarify:

C32 Calipers:
- I want to ensure that these are a direct bolt on with no fitment issues using our standard rotors?
- I saw spacers, but are these required? of is this only if were using stock wheels (I have an aftermarket Mandrus 19/20 setup)
- How much improvement did you see in braking and stopping power?

I am also looking at the C55 setup as well and do you know if this really is a bolton setup?

- You mentioned the 330mm discs - Does that mean I will need to change my rotors?
- what is the issue with the brake-line being stretched to the maximum?
- I like this option but just want to know if its as simple as a bolt on as well.

Thanks for all of the details that you have posted.

I am just trying to be clear as I start worknig on the right options for better brakes.

Brake lines will not be stretched to max...... truly a bolt on from the c32 or c55. the mandrus rims will clear just fine.
