Default SRT wheels on 07 base models?

While looking at Yahoo autos I noticed some 07 and maybe 08 base xfires with SRT wheels. Is this a factory setup? Maybe a little mix and match on the assembly line to use up leftover parts before they shut off the lights for good?
I'd like to have a set of those wheels, since I seem to have bent both of my front rims, both on the valve stem side, and 2 dealerships claim it has to be road damage even though there is no evidence of contact or scuffing on the bead of the rims. Has anyone on this forum ever managed to get warped rims replaced under warrantee? I wonder if I really did bend the rims, both in the same place, and not remember ever hitting anything more severe than an expansion joint on the interstate.

They were called the SE(Special Edition) but I didn't know they made them after 2005 model year.

I know they were put on SE Roadsters in 2006. I bought a set on Ebay and had the lip and outer areas painted blaze red and put them on my daughter's SRT.

A local dealer had a roadster exactly as you have pictured - color, wheels, no fogs, no leather. It had black trim molding around the windshield, but had silver door handles and strakes. It was marked as 2007. They look like SRT wheels to me, but I haven't compared them side by side.

PS Are the center caps different from an SRT?

The center caps look the same to me, but to my eye it looks like the inner surfaces of the wheels are a darker silver than normal. I would like to see them in person. A darker silver might be a good contrast and hide some of the brake dust!

The one(of the five) local stealerships here in vegas has about 15-20 crossfires and a lot of them have those fake SRT wheels. They are the exact same shape/spokes...........the only difference is the insides of the spokes and the five cutouts on the centercaps are all painted a graphite grey color.

I wish those wheels had been standard equipment on the limited. They look so much better than the OEM wheels IMHO.

But, what is that text embroidered on the headrest of the seats in that photo? That looks to be a base model.

What constitutes fake? LOL They are SRT rims. They just are different with the gray inside. They would match a graphite SRT and would look great. But, they are not fake just because they are gray on the inside.......... Just different.

I have a set on my daughter's SRT and they hide the brake dust and dirt better than the stock SRT rims. Not that they stay dirty very long.

I think Erzer has this SE model. HE considered it a base because of the blacked out windscreen frame. But I don't remember seeing anything stitched on his seats.

IMHO The blacked out frame goes great with the inferno red and those wheels.

Of course the roadster body helps. Clearly an unbiased opinion.

Does anyone know what is written on the seat back? It looks like "SRT-6 design".

I'm guessing someone had them stitched. Not sure what they say. Someone else did some stitching to the cloth headrests a while back.
There were no official SRT design Crossfires.

I think Sheldon/Doyen has the same wheels as well as the black trim windshield surround

Hopefully he'll peek in here and offer some advice.

06 SE VERSIONS OF THE ROADSTER CAME ONLY AS BASE MODELS IN BLAZE RED WITH THOSE WONDERFUL WHEELS ( NOT FAKE , LEFTOVER) , WHATEVER! DON`T KNOW ABOUT 07`S , MIGHT BE A LEFTOVER 06. OF COURSE I`M BIASED, I OWN ONE AND WOULD`NT TRADE HER FOR NUTTIN ELSE.

This is indeed a Special Edition Crossfire. The SE's were kind of a cross between a base and limited. Remember, bases all have 6mt where the SE has the auto. The seat was done by the owner, not factory.

Here is a car that was only about 2 months old according to the owner. I took the pic but it is not my car. I don't see anything on the seats.
