If I could afford to get two right now I would...
I blame the tires for this one. -$963 :'(

My 2005 has 22,000 miles on it and was wandering all over the place. Put on a new steering damper today and it's a whole different drive now. It was windy and I was able to drive mostly using one hand, before I was using both hands and still it was a fight.
Re: Replace your Steering Stabilizer, you'll be surprised.
What did we do before the internet? My 04 ltd did get redirected by bumps in the road and I thought that was just the nature of the beast. Saw this post and changed the damper - viola - it now tracks true and less of the bump is transmitted to the steering wheel! all it took was $35 to joetlc and 15 minutes labor!
I do not know if it was ever changed; i bough my crossfire with 38k and it now has 60k.
Thanks guys (and dolls!)

Re: Replace your Steering Stabilizer, you'll be surprised.
MY srt has 23,xxx miles on it, ive replace the steering stabilzer and tried both of my complete sets of rims and tires, I get a shake/wobble around 50mph it is not always as harsh but is usually happening, anybody have any ideas? Ive heard maybe the driveshaft support? anybody have any idea or any help?
Re: Replace your Steering Stabilizer, you'll be surprised.
Ive just changed mine on the SRT6 this afternoon due to steering feeling a bit vague, what a difference , the old one I removed looked like it had been leaking, and had little resistance when push and pulled by hand compared with the new one I had fitted, best £25 ive spent on the car so far .

Just ordered a pair of them. I specifically got on the forum today to ask about tracking issues. feels like the car just follows any groves in the road. With 65000 miles on it I'm sure this should help. the car is worse about tracking than my bike, but it is to be expected on a bike.
