You only need one. I think that his web site might be a little goofy. I'm pretty sure that the same thing happened when I ordered mine. just clear the "2" and change it to "1."

You only need one right now, but you might want the second one
for later. When I bought mine, I purposefully bought 2.

One cost ~$33 shipped

If I could afford to get two right now I would...

I blame the tires for this one. -$963 :'(

+ an alignment and I'll be set! I'm getting anxious without my crossfire though. IMAGINE the irony when the DAY I order my tires, I get a flat on the way home. Now i'm stuck driving my plan B... 1988 Toyota Pickup with 379,000 miles on it. muahaha

Two...more...days...

My 2005 has 22,000 miles on it and was wandering all over the place. Put on a new steering damper today and it's a whole different drive now. It was windy and I was able to drive mostly using one hand, before I was using both hands and still it was a fight.

What did we do before the internet? My 04 ltd did get redirected by bumps in the road and I thought that was just the nature of the beast. Saw this post and changed the damper - viola - it now tracks true and less of the bump is transmitted to the steering wheel! all it took was $35 to joetlc and 15 minutes labor!
I do not know if it was ever changed; i bough my crossfire with 38k and it now has 60k.

Thanks guys (and dolls!)

Ive just changed mine on the SRT6 this afternoon due to steering feeling a bit vague, what a difference , the old one I removed looked like it had been leaking, and had little resistance when push and pulled by hand compared with the new one I had fitted, best £25 ive spent on the car so far .

As I am lazy and I didn't really want to read through 17 pages of posts, is the stabilizer the same on the N/A and the SRT-6? If not, part numbers?

One of the better eBay suppliers of the steering damper is joetlc. $19.95 + S&H; probably $25 to your door. I bought 2 of these back in April for $50.25 delivered. From my perspective, this part is something you change every 30k or 2-3 years, based on your driving style. Cheap maintenance.

Later,

Just ordered a pair of them. I specifically got on the forum today to ask about tracking issues. feels like the car just follows any groves in the road. With 65000 miles on it I'm sure this should help. the car is worse about tracking than my bike, but it is to be expected on a bike.

If your roads are like Tulsa's.. get longer bolts and put both on! JK..replaced mine at 74000.. reasoning same as yours.. as 3rd owner have no idea when or if it had been replaced (Achtung on the label was a hint).. my personal experience, dont look for night and day difference.. better yes though..
