About time I get on the ball with this. Ready to reserve a room so my question is - is there a special rate discount thingy I need to reserve or do I just reserve a room? There have been several posts on group rates but I don't see where to register for the group rate on the website.

Eganders, are you going? If not, how about your wife? Geogramps, are you going? Anybody else in San Diego going? If so, would people be interested in meeting up and head towards LA as a group to meet the LA crew?

Gentlejr and friend, want to meet up around San Juan Capistrano or someplace near whatever highway heads out to Lake Havasu? How about the rest of you in the LA area?

I'm thinking of leaving San Diego around sixish sevenish and be near the LA area by nineish (are these ish words really words?) if there are other owners to meet up with. If so please chime in so we can make final arrangements

I was backing out of a windy driveway at night and heard this horrible sound as the forward observers were screaming stop. I thought some brush had scraped across my car but when I looked out the window there was no brush in sight.

To make a long story short, I though I had really crunched the thing. It was a very minor scratch and I was quite relieved.

 

Scratches aren't good but if they must be present let them be minor.

By now I have three out of the four rims scoffed to some degree. Sad part is that I don't even know how I scoffed two of them.

Alrighty! Two weeks to Havasu time and no one has responded to my post. Let's get on the ball, people! Else I'll make you all hear me sing opera for a month straight. You don't want to hear me sing at all, let alone opera.

 

I just talked to the Hotel and so far only 2 reservations have been made!!!!

I know for sure that one of them is mine so we are still missing 6-7 people according to list. I will send out a PM to remind all of those on the list again.

From now on you will have to call the Hampton Inn Hotel in Lake Havasu to reserve a room and get our special group rate!!!

Please don't let this die in the last 2 weeks!! I know we can do it! Lets show the east coast that we can get meetings together aswell!!

Here is my threat: If this doesent work out, I will pay Brent gas money+salery to drive through all of Cali to find and key your cars!!!!

I guessed

 

Third Day I had my car I screwed my rims up so much that I had to have them welded and ground. I just wasn't used to a car that had zero tolerance for curbs. My passenger mirror is now focused on the curb and I use a convex wart for traffic. That solved the problem for me. The fender scratch is on the rear quarter panel almost dead on with the seam. It's just a sliver and it's location makes it fairly hard to see when blacked up. Those roller tipped touch up pens are a huge improvement over the old brush only types.

 

We'll try to make it. Vegas to Havasu isnt that Bad.

 

Still have a job so I'm in!

What activities are we doing?

Thinking at least one night we can order out (pizza?) and just sit around with a few beverages and talk about FP, Gary, Rudy, Doc, Franc, Eric, Jim, Deb, Steve, Chris, James, Woody, John, Bob, Tom, Jimmy, Mike, Larry, Brian, Randy, Mark (and anyone else I may have forgotten).
Then after that 10 minutes is up we can talk cars n stuff the rest of the night!

I haven't Jetski'd in ages so I may try to get away to do that a bit.

Bringing RCM inspection and repair stuff so I'll give everyone's RCM a checkup.

I will figure that out during this week what we can do as in activites, its kinda busy atm due to exams, but I will find something. I think Pizza on Sat. evening sounds like a plan, I don't know anyone who does not like Pizza.......If anoyne was any suggestions/ideas, please shout out!

You have a very very good point with the Jetski's!!! If available, I will absolutly join you, whilst it is still warm enough!!! We still need to figure where to group up. I guess somewhere on I-10 in the Phoenix area. Would that work??

Attending a daytime activity will by tight for those of us driving five or six hours, and especially if we have a late start (my days don't begin until ten in the morning).

We definitely can plan on an evening pizza fest though.

 

Yeah, thats why I wasent on planning something in the early afternoon. Hotel check-in opens I think at like 3pm, so we there is no point in planning everything early.
