Default Windshield Trim

The center top piece of trim on my 05 Crossfire need to be painted of something.....to me lots like a coat of clear peeled off it.

Anyway, how do you take these off? I don't want to crack the windshield or anything.

Also, anyone paint these or wrap them?

The top center piece comes off first. Use teflon/nylon pry tools and work it off beginning at either end. Take your time pry up from the rear side of the trim piece. Yes, they have been painted and wrapped many times. You will need to get some good two sided tape to reattach the clips to the trim piece.

You pry these off with a trim tool against the glass and pry approximately where the clips are on all three pieces. There are photos around that show where the clips are, there was one photo on the forum yesterday I believe.

I've done it both ways and I think it generally comes off easier from the rear; either way works, just let the tool do it's work. From the front you can get a flat blade screw driver into the slot of the clip and then twist the screw driver which will release the clip, but finding the slot is difficult.
