Default Are horsepower modules safe

Ebay sellers are selling modules that you plug into the IAT sensor. Is that safe for the car? Have anyone ever here of modules being used in the IAT sensor?

Yes, I have one and its been 11 months with no problems. I did not notice a difference but it was cheap enough to try it.

The module is like a wire that is bent in a U-shape and placed into the female part of the IAT sensor, does that sound just about right? Also where is the IAT sensor located, is it the yellow connector with the two wires?

Thumbs down Re: Are horsepower modules safe

Those modules are crap. All they do is cause the IAT signal to the computer to read colder than it really is which will cause the air/fuel mixture to try to go rich. Your O2 sensor will pick that up about a second later and cause the computer to lean the mixture back out. Net result: zero gain. Save your money for something with proven results.

Lift the engine cover, as you see the air tube that connects to the throttle body, its just right there on the right of it as you're looking over it. Almost on the right of the air sensor. Hard to explain I guess, I looked around and could not find a picture.

The Sprint Booster is more expensive but you can at least feel a big difference in acceleration.
