Central locking pump doesn't work
Central locking pump doesn't work
Hello, i already talked about my non working locking pump in another thread but i think i should create a new thread for it.
When i bought my crossfire the locking pump was not working already. when i opened the trunk up i found out the cable was disconnected.
after connecting the pump cable and the battery cable the central locking works partially once. It opens the side door lock once and that's it until
removing and reconnecting battery again. so the pump is not really broken its somehow miss-configured/communication. I checked the yellow air tubes
and the one for the trunk was broken. it fixed that one. i bought a drb3 reader but i am not able to connect to the BCM or Central locking pump. I'm getting the errors
"NO Response from BCM pin 1" and "NO Response from CLP pin 1".
today i completely disconnected the pump and dismantled it. the inside looks brand new to me. the relays are clean and working. everything is soldered properly.

i found 3 things that looked weird to me:
1) die metal-thing in the middle has no connection to the white spinning thingy. should i be all the way left or right? is the current position correct?

2) the 2 big solder points look weird.

3) what is that white spot inside the tube?

should i just put it back together and search for the problem between pump and bcm and the bcm itself? i appreciate any type of help.

Re: Central locking pump doesn't work
update: im sure the things i listed were no problems. i reassembled the pump and put it back in. i also checked the 2 wires from the black connector of the pump to the BCM according to the workshop-manual. all good.
when i turn on the engine like every 5th time or so (its pretty random) the passenger door lock shoots up. could it mean that i put back the yellow air tubes in wrong order? when you turn on the engine on a normal working crossfire does something needs to be unlocked? there are 3 tubes: 1 for drivers door, 1 for gas tank and 1 for passenger door + rear lift. in which order should these be connected to the central locking pump?

Does the door locks have a setting when pulling away (driving) where the doors lock? Might be thinking of someone else's car but if there is a setting like this it'll be in the owners manual (downloaded here in the forum for free in .pdf format I believe). You might have one hose in a wrong location, sorry if you do I can't help with that. All in all, the car program in regards to the locking/unlocking may be set up to activate one or more actuators when driving (until you turn the car off or get in an accident). I am not sure if the gas cap door also locks/unlocks with any command (seemingly at random). There are numbers on the module, I heard you can get a tennis ball, poke a hole in it smaller than the hose, and give it a damn good fast squeeze (that might) activate the actuator(s) along the line. Might be a good way to find out (comparing the number and what actuated it), to the service manual with which hose goes to which port on the pump. Good luck!
