Default Too lean, too rich ... too many to list!

04 Crossfire with multiple codes ..
P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175, P0102, and P0221 ...

Things we've done recently::
- https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...odies-now.html ... no change
- cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner
- replaced O2 sensors ... they were completely crusted in carbon
- tried a different gas pedal.
- replaced vacuum lines, all except the one that goes into the manifold. I read the post on this and so simply splicing in a new one is on our to-do list
- reseated / sealed gaps in the air intake - previous owner installed a custom one that just 'sat' on the engine and wasn't really connected ...

Previous related work was replacing the fuel filter about a year ago. In addition to the vacuum hose, I also plan on running some cleaner through the engine to remove any carbon build up

When we step on the gas, there is a chuff -vroom with a half-second delay... the 'chuff' is air intake opening like on an old hurst carbuerator.

Does anyone know of a common denominator for these codes all appearing at once?

Thanks for any help ...

Update - we followed the throttle reset steps, and the response is all good ... will have the code for this checked when it stops raining ...

IF all is good, wait for a couple of start/stop cycles over a couple of days (don't rush it). It takes a couple (or more) cycles to clear its fault codes depending on the codes and why they were set. If you think every burp is a problem, you'll continue to do this or that and cost you a lot of $. Also, you posted another post about the same thing, please limit your post to one issue at a time (even if it seems this issue is solved) until a reasonable amout of time has passed. Contact a moderator to close/lock the second original post you posted with the same issue.

Got a bunch going on.

Have you pulled vacuum to see what engine is doing ?

Do you happen to have the torque app and obd bluetooth adapter ?

I have a screen of torque with gauges for maf, O2 sensors, etc etc etc
watching some info.

I have heard of a bad seal on the oil cap will be enough to throw acouole codes and make idle rough.

When running if you remove the oil cap does it idle the same or get worse ?

when changing O2 se sors did you use direct plug in or universal wire in sensors.
change all 4 or just 2

Pulled vacuum - no .. would need to find out how
OBD w bluetooth adaptor - no- I simply go to an auto store for a read
... since I have 3 cars and kids that stop by with theirs, gettign an OBD reader might be a good idea. Any suggestions on what is good for the shade-tree mechanic?
Car runs well ... almost dies when the oil cap is removed
Replaced all 4 O2 sensors ... not sure what you mean, but we unplugged & unscrewed what was there and replaced with new ones

Graphite Ghost - I typically give it a few days to see how it is running, and then take it to the auto store for another code read to see if anything was resolved...

I use torque pro from google play store, was $5 I think.
obd bluetooth adapter like $15

Pulls factory codes and generics codes and has a button for lookup and details.

I do it also on my wife's phone and she has a adapter in her console, if her check engine light comes on and I am out of state, I showed her how to plug in and pull codes and call me.

I removed the MAP sensor on the front of the engine, passenger side and pulled vacuum from that hose. Should be about 17 at idle.

these cars are finicky, especially after sitting or dead batt for a long time,,,, clear all the codes and drive it if any come back then look into them , on the first go round of codes, you are wasting your time. jim

Check the gasket under the throttle body, they are known to go bad, Woody

Hi Woody! When we cleaned the electronics, we replaced the gasket ... the one that was there looked like it had been melted and squished

Seems like the low milage XFires have more problems than daily drivers.

I am curious if a pole would be taken on skreem failures, what milage they have and if a DD

Update: vacuum lines replaced, throttle reset sequence done, drove periodically for the week and the P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175, and P0221 codes are gone.

P0102 is still present, and a new code P0302 (cylinder 2 misfire) has appeared, but that should be an easy fix.

I'll be replacing the MAF and hope this fixes everything!

Thanks for all the input
- Jon
