Skreem and PCM
Skreem and PCM
Just wanted to let others know that if your Crossfire’s Skreem goes out, (which also requires a new PCM), I learned from someone else on this forum, you can bypass the system by disconnecting the battery, and removing fuse #9. The mechanic said he had to let it cycle a few times after starting the first time. It runs great now! Removing fuse #9 takes out the map reading light and trunk light, and you have to use a key to unlock the car, but compared to paying over $4300 in repairs or junking the car, I think this fix is awesome!
Re: Skreem and PCM
If you happen to have 2 fobs, what are the chances of you taking one apart and using JUST the metal key to see if the car will start ?
( do not have the fob case anywhere near the car )
Here's a how-to in case you are willing to try :

Re: Skreem and PCM
I'd like to share my experience with the siren and no starts if i may. in the past i have noticed that if the siren has corrosion inside (most likely from leaking batteries) it can back feed into the security/ locking pump module and cause a no start condition. i would be very interested to see what happens if you disconnect the siren, reinstall fuse 9 and try starting the vehicle.

Mercedes mechanic notes
Chrysler mechanic, we then had it towed to Mercedes mechanic
We do not have 2nd key, but skreem was diagnosed as not working.
Horn and tire pressure control do work with fuse 9 out for some reason. The map lights and lift gate lights do not work.
Security system successfully bypassed, and car now runs great. Just have to open car with key instead of fob.
