AC Compressor Bad?
Re: AC Compressor Bad?
Jared, just because the compressor clutch does not engage doesn't mean it is bad and requires replacement. The clutch and compressor may still be good, but the system's fail safe is not allowing it to engage. It is a simple test to check the electronic clutch: there is a connection in the relay control box that you open and then using a wire simply put 12v from the battery directly to the clutch. You can hear it engage and check it against the friction on the pulley. EASY. Let us know if you need more details. DO NOT rush out to buy a compressor just because you are certain the compressor/clutch is not engaging without first preforming several tests.

Re: AC Compressor Bad?
The connector is located in the large black plastic box just inboard from the battery. Slide the latch to open. Inside the box are the three module RCM Relay Control Module, PCM Powertrain Control Module and the BCM Body Control Module. On the front wall of the box is the connector 106. That is what you are looking for. It simple connects the wires from the interior A/C control module ( The heat and cold wheel adjustors) to the AC compressor clutch. Open that connector and jump 12v directly from the battery to the A/C clutch to test the compressor clutch. It is the number 3 pin. This bypasses all the sensors so you know if something else is preventing the compressor from engaging or the clutch itself has gone bad.
