Default Noise coming from front suspension

Hi everyone,

My Crossfire makes a cracking sound when I turn the wheel all the way to the left (close to lock) and all the way to the right (close to lock).

I've had similar noises coming from the front of one of my old cars, never at lock though.

Can someone enlighten me on this?

I will also replace my steering damper because the steering feels really sloppy, loose and imprecise on center.

Thank you!

I think it might be the control arms or the bushings. From what I've read.

Put it on jack stands, crawl under there an have someone shake the Dickens out of it. Up, down ,side to side. Sometimes ,I take a pry bar, under the tire, to compress the suspension. Be careful...look for movement at the ball joints, an anywhere it attaches to the frame.
