Red face Any way to stop the spoiler warning?

So a couple months ago I got a killer deal on an 04 coupe (killer deal meaning FREE!)

I am just now getting my license and this is my first (legally driven) car. Anyways, when I got it, it had a lot of weird modifications.

As you can see in picture #1 there is a huge spoiler bolted on to the current spoiler "plate". I don't know what the guy before me did to it but it won't lift anymore (which it doesn't need to anyway) But my main issue is the red light on the spoiler switch blinks constantly and when you get up to 80 ish it starts beeping like crazy and drives me mad.

I may take it to the garage and tinker with it and see if the plate with the spoiler attached will raise without hitting the quarter panel. I don't really think it needs to though. Hell it could even be a terrible idea and send me into the sky. let me know what you think.

It does not move because it's an SRT wing, they are fixed in place.

The alarm is because he removed the electric wing for the SRT wing but did not compensate for the fact that the sensors for the little wing are now gone/disconnected. All youve got to do is jumper the pins on the BCM to tell the BCM that the "little wing" is still here and it is "up".

IOW, youv'e got to lie to the car.

Pin 28 of C4 at the Body Control Module - cut that wire and tie the end going into C4 pin 28 to ground.

I have a few photos of your car from a couple years ago. The previous owner lived in the Seymour area. The wing is properly mounted and not on the active wing, IIRC. And how did it come FREE?

Thanks all! I will mess with it tomorrow probably because I am installing a new exhaust system anyways.

The wing and the cup holder really threw me off. it's just a coupe according to the VIN but it has stuff that the SRT6 does (wing and cubby instead of cup holder)

Took me forever to figure out what it was.

If you want the light and alarm to disappear completely, you will need the motor from the active wing. Maybe someone else has a solution, but I have yet to hear of one.

The cubby was standard on the base models I believe and did not come standard on the SRTs, they were additions when people got fed up with the cup holder.
Do you have power seats?

Awesome! We knew the previous owner and that car sat in our shop for years until he made a deal with us. It was put into my hands to fix up and get it running again, so I did and here I am!

She still looks pretty.

Yeah, I have power seats. All I know is the VIN told me it was the 04 coupe and said nothing about SRT but from messing in the internets I still couldnt put it all together
