Default Possible Air pump problems.

I have a stutter on accelaration that is also makes a ticking noise. The noise is extremely difficult to tell where it is coming from. I've been told it's a lifter/follower but you don't hear it at idle. You only hear it when driving 25mph and above and especially under hard acceleration from stop. Whatever this is also seems to effect performance because there are those rare moments when the noise and stutter stop and the SRT drives like a dream.

I have searched several other post and feel my issue is similar to those experiencing air pump failure or RCM issues. Can anyone tell me how to test air pump to see if it is functioning? And where can I get my RCM repaired, are there still forum members who repair RCM?

You can pull the RCM out of the box and remove the plastic cover.
With the engine idling, manually press the air pump armature and see if the air pump runs.
tighed1 still repairs RCM's, send him an IM.
