Default Water in trunk - add drain holes?

'05 SRT6 coupe. Central locking module appears to be kaput! Water on both sides. Foam pad surrounding central locking module is soaked.

There is excellent information in threads on where to look for leaks and sealing them. I will be doing that.

I saw a post by Red Dog ( https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...tml#post801946 ) with a picture indicating "New drain hole". I'm thinking this would be a good idea as added prevention of future flooding.

Looking for some detailed information on making the new drain holes. Is it as simple as taking a drill to the low spot?

A better approach is fixing the leaks and putting your new locking pump in a plastic bag open at the top.
Drilling extra holes invites rust and corrosion.

Ready for the rain! All fixed, new control module, clear silicon, two new drain holes and a bunch of broken clips.
