Exclamation Speedometer doesn't work; Brake, ESP, BAS lights all on

Aloha,

I have a 2004 Crossfire 6spd Manual and experiencing some issues.

The speedometer does not work
The rear spoiler will not go down even when the car is shut off
The Brake, ESP, BAS, and other lights all on

I get these two codes:
P0410 Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction
P0600 Serial Communication Link Malfunction

I have scanned the forums but I am having difficulty knowing where to start. I was thinking about replacing the speed sensors but there is one in each tire right? Is is possible that all 4 would be bad? I'd rather not spend $200 if its not the problem. I really need some guidance.

Thank you for your help. Please post a link if there is somewhere this has already been addressed.

Get a multimeter and measure ac volts on a low scale on each sensor connector as you spin the wheel.
low cost test and maybe you will get lucky and find one with a problem, could even be a corroded connector.

Those speed sensors are for the ESP, BAS systems, no way are they related to an inoperative speedo, and they certainly didn't go bad all at once. One being bad might give you the ESP, BAS warning lights. The speedo is driven by a signal from the transmission. Take to a good Euro oriented shop and have them "scan" for codes and see where a baseline starting point is.

I have a OBD reader... I am feeling silly for not including the codes on my original post. This is the two codes it spit out.

P0410 Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction
P0600 Serial Communication Link Malfunction

I only advised that because of the multiple symptoms, including BAS/ESP lights.

The secondary air code is unrelated, but the communications code concerns me.

This has a ring of a central ground being interrupted/intermittent. I would get the schematics and look for all the systems involved and see if there is a common ground to them all. I am sure it will be a long complicated search if it is a problem ground. Just my $0.02 cents worth.
