Throttle is messed up **Video **
Throttle is messed up **New Thottle Video **
Throttle is really messed up. I really haven't looked into it yet because its so cold out but I wanted to see if anyone knew what is going on or if something is broken / not working properly.
2004 Crossfire Coupe - 6 Speed
Symptoms
1. Zero to Half throttle works fine but when you 3/4 - WOT (Wide Open Throttle) the RPM's fall and car almost dies then the RPM's jump up.
2. Everything else works fine. drives fine just can't 3/4 - WOT.... which is painful
Throttle reset did nothing.

Re: Throttle is messed up **Video **
You are right, of course . . . but just an indication that several issues exist with his car that have not been addressed. One needs to fix issues as they arise or soon you just end up with a POS car.

Hello,
The car seems like it has some issues but it "really" Fine
EAS/ESP - Because I disconnected the battery and it was the first start.
SeatBelt - Because I wasn't wearing it.
Light out - Its true, Side light is out, will fix in better weather.
Check Engine - Because of CODE P0102 (Mass or Volume Airflow A)
( I just retested to make sure there was no other codes)
Any Ideas?

Re: Throttle is messed up **Video **
Umm.... k. Did you try disconnecting the MAF sensor and then running the engine? With the MAF sensor disconnected the engine will go into a sort of default AFR setting... If it runs better when the MAF is disconnected then you have your problem.

Ha ha ah a aha a no..... Not till spring..... Forget it! TOO COLD!!
Mine you that it Idle's perfectly and has no problems with acceleration till more then 3/4 - WOT. If that helps with hints to the problem. OH and it did start " the throttle problem" till I hit a a big bump in the road just before it got cold.

Re: Throttle is messed up **Video **
Just went through your symptoms again... totally missed that the temp. gauge is reading -80/85 degrees Celsius (-110/-121 F)... is your exterior temp. gauge damaged? As that would cause all kinds of issues... the throttle, maf and ambient temp. gauge work in tandem with one another to provide the correct fuel to air ratio. Obviously if it thinks air is -80c then it would presume that there is denser air entering the combustion chamber and therefore not opening the throttle fully.
Is your code scanner able to verify the faulty temp. sensor?
The sensor is located in the lower grill...

Unless it really is that cold where you are, in which case disregard.
