has this been photoshopped or is this a true pic of your car?

looks nice...i would just lower it a tad to eliminate the fender/wheel well gap.

Wink Re: REDCROSS' New Look

I did a quick photoshop job to change the car from SSB to Red. Just a down and dirty version to see what it would like and I am pleased.
INMO, the silver on the strakes and doorhandles match the stock wheels and blend nicely...
BUT................with the wheels being chrome there must be something done!
Choice.................Chrome OR paint them......................
Anyway the wheels will be done first and then evaluate to see if I prefer Painted or Chromed parts.
No I missed the wheels for sale..........where was it??

DAN..........................I am interested in the wing..................................
BUT I'M NOT Interested in Buying a SRT6 to get it.

REDCROSS:
Love the wheels! If I may ask, what is the price of the chrome factory wheels and is chroming our own an option or is the factory quality the best way?
As far as the trim goes, chrome door handles and strakes might tie together better, but what do I know? If you have get chance, why not try them on photo shop and post it too. We will compare and give you our humble feedback. Merry Chritmas!

No you don't have to buy the hole car.But i'm waiting to see what happens next year with the SRT6 market wise, I think it's already dead and the dealers will be dropping below the invoice to get them off the lot.I'm also predicting D.C. will put the new 3.5 in the XF soon 06 because of slow sales on the Crossfire Ltd.05s.Today I was offered a SRT at invoice.my choice cpe or convert.!

Sounds good, Dan, hope you get one.
It's hard to say what will happen to the XF for the future but who knows we might ALL get a SRT6 before it's over.
Only thing is, at present, they don't come in RED!!!!

Bob- To my knowledge Chrysler does NOT offer FACTORY chromed wheels for the XF. The ones seen at Dealerships are through some aftermarket company that has made them available. Not sure if MOPAR places the warranty or the aftermarket company does.
Sort of like, MICHELIN gives us the tire warranty NOT MOPAR!!
I gave $650 for 4, new in the box, chromed wheels and caps including the shipping to me and the shipping of my stock ones back to them.
They have the industry standard warranty of one year.

RedX,

Don't forget the HIDs! If it's either the paint or HIDs, get the HIDs man. They rock.

I think the car looks great in red, only I like having the side vents in silver...

Hey why not get the side vent pieces in chrome! That would look GREAT with the chrome wheels and your HIDs! Just something to think about.

Yes, the HIDs are on my list also, but I am in the looking "TO BE SEEN" not "TO SEE" mode right now.
As to the Chrome Vent Strakes and Doorhandles....................
I agree and STARTECH has the Strakes in Chrome (Covers) but have not responded to my request for cost and availability, as of yet.
That leaves the door handles. The solution might be to buy a pair from MOPAR and have them chromed.
I am stepping slowly.....................first the wheels............Heaven Forbid, but I might not even like the chrome wheels once I see them on the car!!!
I have been happy with the silver wheels and trim...............but, although the Crossfire is rarely seen, I want the world to know which one is MINE when it hits the scene!!!!!!!

I know what you mean dan, I was offered a SRT-6 for 469.98 a mo lease 36 mo. 12k a year. Only had to cover my negative equity. He said if i just wanted to lease it out right and not trade my car in, it would be the same price. Since i would have to come up 8 grand. Makes me wish i would have waited. where is that smilie with the hammer when you need it.

It looks really great, can't wait to see what they look like on the car.

However, the weather here in Indy is turning to crap for the next 2 days. We are suppose to get 4-6 inches of snow and today it was in the high 40's!! I wonder how this weather will track. May be it will miss you.
