Anyone interested in a "Crossfire Club" grill bage
Re: Anyone interested in a "Crossfire Club" grill bage
I spoke to a local sign shop today. I'll have pics up this afternoon or tomorrow when its done. If I don't like it, there won't be any pics as I'll just have them take it off.
It will be black and say "Daimler" on it, in the same style as the old Daimler logo.
Check it out:

These are the matching valve caps. But the badge will look similar.

Re: Anyone interested in a "Crossfire Club" grill bage
I think that maybe a little to much Dan. I think if it's going to be done, its going to havr to be really stupid simple. I don't mean stupid literally. To the Avg. Joe they might look at the car, and say it's plane. However to the person who has that refind eye for detail would totally go nuts. I know what I'm looking for is that one good word. The one were all you have to do to get your point across, is say that word, and even the 10yr old little boy understands what your talking about. Like if you said Ferrari, I'm almost positive everyone has the same perception of Ferrari having some of the most beautiful high performance vehicalsl on the planet. I want our cars to have that same synonymity.
Re: Anyone interested in a "Crossfire Club" grill bage
Anyway my update this morning is that the sign guy wanted me to do at least a run of 50. I know there are places around here who will do it this small I just have to find one.
Anyway I think Daimler in silver on black, on my black xfire, would look hot.
Daimler fits perfectly too. Chrysler was bought out by Daimler Benz, creating one company, Daimler Chrysler. They call it a Crossfire for reasons we all know. They could just as easily call this car a Benz instead of a Chrysler. Either way its a Daimler.
The great thing about this whole idea is that it's easy for any one of us, to just create a customized vinyl sticker. If you don't like Daimler, find a shop near you and have them make you your own.

nope...adheres just like a vinyl graphic...but actually means....
the image is multicolored but with one layered dimension.
if vinyl was use and you decided on a border or any additional colors...the vinyl would be stacked on top of one another....yuck. i am looking for a better end result...the sign company suggested thermal imaging to meet my needs and wants.
i'll keep you posted.
