Default Lock and unlock air sound

Hey everyone,

Yesterday when i unlock or lock my Crossfire i hear a sound that sounds like air going true the rubber cable on the back side?

Now every time i lock or unlock with my key or with the button inside the car, i get a long sound of air?

Does somebody already had this problem or does somebody know what it can be?

Back side ?
If you mean inside one of the doors, then probably a fractured air tube.
The pump in the trunk alternately applies pressure or vacuum to the door solenoids to actuate lock/unlock.
Same is true for the console lid on the roadsters.

When i open the trunk there's a rubber cable going from the car to the trunk door, close by the roof and i think that's where that sound is coming from.

But what i also notice is that that sound is very long, i think about 8 seconds? Can it be that the air pomp is pomping air to long?

That is odd. The pump usually does it's job in about 2 seconds. If you listen carefully, standing next to the car in the garage, you can hear it run.

This is a new one on me!

So, did you know your locks are pneumatic? (There is also a second electric lock for the trunklid, on Roadsters only...)

The question that needs answering is do all the locks work?
A hiss where indicated usually means the hatch lock does not work.

Hey guys thanks for the info! I solved it today! I first removed the coating on the right side of the trunk and then removed the foam and saw the air pomp, but there was nothing wrong with the pomp.. So then i removed the rubber hose by the roof on the right side ( that was the spot where i hear the air sound) i saw that the yellow air cable was completely torn!

So what i first did was checking in my girlfriend's beauty case and found a small rubber hose to bind the torn peaces together and now it's working again! I think this is a weak spot because of opening the trunk door again and again.

I think the pomp was working for about 8 seconds because it had no good pressure.

Sorry for my long story.. Again thanks guys for the help!

Thanks for coming back and telling us what was wrong!
So many who ask for help don't do that.
