Driver side motor mount help

Default Driver side motor mount help

Resently I blew my motor mount macanice looked up and screw broke off the lower mount

Does anyone know what's the best way to replacing it I all ready got a new mount but macanice wants to take the compressor and other stuff to get some space in there but I said no

Any ways to fixing this easyer

Also adding a cable rope around the mount

motor mount has to be replaced from under the car. if he wants to remove the supercharger to get to the motor mount its a good sign you need another mechanic. you can remove the exhaust header for some room but the only easy way to get at it is to remove the engine. the mounts are installed from the factory before the engine goes in. its a very tight fit

I think he is referring to the A/C compressor, not the supercharger, but in either case, find a new mechanic ........

We may lose something in translation here, but the mount has to be replaced from below, not the top. Engine can be raised enough, to install the new mount from BELOW the car. NOT from the TOP. Good luck..l

I don't have a srt lol your wrong lol

That's what I'm sayin he already knows its from the bottom be he wants to remove a bunch of parts to get his hands in there

WELL, he will have to move a few things....so I would let him do the work....

having done the mounts i can tell you removing the a/c compressor wont help a bit. removing the exhaust manifold would help , but wait! you have to remove the motor mount to get to the manifold!! let him do it or not you should look into how much he really knows about these cars. btw you really should do both mounts at the same time. if the drivers side is gone the pass isnt far behind. and if he thinks the drivers side is tough he will want to pull the motor for the pass side!
