Default Cruise control malfunctioning...

Let me start with the car in question is a 04 limited 6 speed. This problem just started bout a week ago. At speeds over 55 mph, no matter what gear its in, the cuise control does not work.....Under 55 and it works just fine. This is becoming quite annoying as i drive 70 miles a day all hwy and the cruise gets used constantly.....Anybody run into this problem?? or have an idea of what it might be????? Thanks in advance.

It has been suggested elsewhere on this forum that the possible cause can be a difference in what the wheel speed sensors see.
Do you perhaps have different size tires/wheel ( left/right ) on front or rear ?
Possible a bad or intermittent sensor ?
Maybe even a wheel with much lower pressure then it's mate ?
