Default Water leakage

I recently noticed that i have a leagage in the xfire
Water is comming in the car from underneath the dashboard cabin
It flows down the passenger floormat, starting underneath the dashboard cabin about where your rightfoot will be if you were sitting there.
Maybe some water cant get away from under the hood or front window?
any ideas

Your heater core is located under the dash, behind the glove box. It is probably the source of your leak.

There are drain ports under the cowl cover at each end and in the middle that allows the water to drain away, more than likely they are full of debri, you need to take the cowl cover and wiper arms off to access this area to clean out your drain ports. When they are pluged up it will allow water to enter in through the blower motor assembly. Do a search for more information if needed.

ok, first off thx for the help and input, cause im not a car technician whatsoever

I think that the waterdrains indeed are blocked
I removed the cover, behind / underneath the glovebox compartement
There is a black box (with a sort of dynamo inside) underneath with a lid that you can remove
When i removed that lid it was filled with water and lots of remains of leafs, etc
I cleaned and it out and will pay a visit to my garage to follow up on the advice to remove the whippers, etc

I'll let you know what i will find there underneath

Smile Re: Water leakage

I went to the garage yesterday
We removed the whipers and the cover beneath the frontwindow
What we found underneath wasnt really a surpise
Both the left and right water drain openings were covered with what looked like
a mix between sand, earth and dirt. It covered the openings in total.
No leaves were present, only the dirtmix as i like to call it.
So, we cleaned it out and tested the whole thing by spraying the frontwindow with water.
And guess what..... problem solved.

PS, i never had any problems of this kind with my previous cars (Bmw 320's)
Maybe a little flaw of the xfire design, one which i can live with btw

Sounds like someone thought they could use that area as a window box and plant tulips.
