Powerchip ECU Mods
Powerchip ECU Mods
I have talked to Powerchip, Inc. of Santa Monica and they emailed me dyno results from remapping (chip replacement?) the Crossfire ECU. Results are impressive and are available at www.powerchipgroup.ocm. The modification will be available 1/1/04. I am going to meet the Powerchip tech rep at the SEMA show in Las Vegas November 4th. I would like to combine ECU modifications based on 91 Octane pump gas with a more freeflowing intake & exhaust system. I wouldn't hesitate to modify an already wonderful car but I don't wany to go backwards with reliability or inability to have the vehicle pass California emission control tests 4 years from now. Anybody else with any other thoughts?
Re: Powerchip ECU Mods
wow, this was posted 3.5 years ago. any answer? i have the powerchip (ECU flash) and am wondering if it will pass the smog test? does anyone have any experience with this? according to powerchip, it is not legal in CA (yet). powerchip will reflash the ECU to get it back to factory (for a price) and then re-re-flash back (for a price), but i hope it doesn't come to that.
