It involves an ECU pgrade, carbon fiber air box and a 3.8L Torque Conversion
hmm.. what's a 3.8 torque conversion?
I believe they actually bore out the cylinder to make it wider and add new pistons, but I'm not positive on that. The carbon fiber air box also isn't available for the Crossfire yet, but I believe they are working on it.

interesting they call it the 3.8L torque conversion.. i guess they don't have a good german to english translation.. they could just call it the 3.8l stroker kit.. oh well...

Default Renntech

And what does any of the aforementioned performance mods...the ECU only or the different stages of Renntech performance, do to the factory warranty?

Also, to the emissions? In my state all cars are dynoed and sniffed @ 2 years by the state.

Maybe I'll drop 3 grand on a driving school. Will not only make my Crossfire go faster than it would if I dropped $10K on a Renntech mod, but it will make ALL my cars go faster too!

In a seperate thread, a fella from Renntech said that the ECU upgrade would nail your warranty.

They apparently modify Mercedes for customers right from the dealership, so Mercedes dealers do work with them directly apparently.

I HOPE it wouldn't make you go faster than dropping $10K on a Renntech upgrade. You would have to be a REALLY bad driver, which I don't think you are. No driving school will make up for 50 hp...

Try hitting www.MBWorld.org for modification info on SLK and Cclass(w203).
I found your forum while searching for differential ratios. A 3.69 is available from a C240, but none higher in US, so far. I imagine that many of the popular mods are possible.

Check out Evosport and these threads (if the threads are bad just try using the thread ID eg.49785 from the forum search.)

I'm looking forward to "Breatstroker"'s comments upon installation of the 3.67. LSDs just too $ for me.

Another thought is having your intake manifold sent out to extrude hone to have them smooth the runners out.. here's the link to check out the whole process.. http://www.extrudehone.com/powerflow.html , you might be able to free up a couple ponies this way.. it all depends on how restrictive the stock manifold is..

chip tuning seems like a great idea also..
We can get some performance cams for the 3.2L, however the gains are about 10hp. The cost is quite expensive around $2000.

Yes, as long as it retains the stock look, and doesn't sound like a muffler you would find on a civic...
