Default Relocate Parking Brake Lever?

I was wondering if it was possible to relocate the parking brake lever to somewhere in the driver side foot well and how hard that would be. I wanted to redo the center console to something like the rendering I made. Maybe a cover that slides open and close to cover the cup holders?

It can be done but a lot of work for a couple of xtra cup holders dont you think?

THe issue is getting a cable long enough (I think these are cable) and relocating the sensor to a position under the dash. THe other is to mount a foot pedal based actuation system to accomodate. Given the tight space under there I would not really recommend all this work for cup holders.

Yes, it is possible.

How hard it is depends heavily on how much money you have, how skilled you are, and how clean you want it to look.

Nice drawing though.

seems like a lot of coin and time for little result.

i personally would like to do something of that ilk, as when they exported the cars to oz, they did change the side of the cup holder and hand brake, so when you are driving your elbow keeps opening the bloody cup holder.

i guess the important thing is that they moved the steering wheel.

Hi All

The UK Xfires have the hand brake on the left side of centre just like your US spec . I think it gives the UK driver a little bit more room , Cupholder on problems keeps shut for me .

Cheers

Andy
