It's not "bondo"............it's "Kitty Hair" which is long strand fiberglass and resin that you add hardener to. It dries like concrete and won't crack out like "bondo".

That hood looks terrific. I think metal is the only way to go. I'm just not a fan of hood pins to secure the hood. When looking for alternative hoods for my 93 RX7 all the CF and Fiberglass manufacturers recommended hood pins. This is just not for me. So I went with the stock aluminum and some day will add vents like this. I commend you for staying true to metal!

I've been trying to wrap my brain around what your finished hood will look like, and I ran across the following pic. I thought I'd share the photo with the gang.

That's pretty much it.................just add a little mo hawk in the center.

PS I finished grinding down the kitty hair and have moved on to the "bondo" stage.

The photo captures the look that Iam going with the matte finish for no glare in the morning or track. Also does not reflect light.

Looking Good!

You must be planning on the original Chrysler emblem across the front?

I got the top side primered today...........still have to block it out nice and do all the work on the underside before primer and jambing. I'm HOPING to have the car painted and ready for Mopars at The Strip next weekend.
