And when I bought mine in 05 (it was built in sept 03) the dealer had done nothing to it but change the oil and the one recall... all the 04 Crossfire's on there lot had a black battery (don't know the brand sorry) assumed that's what the OEM ones where. You can kind of see in this pic that my battery was black...

There are TWO versions of the Interstate battery. The MTP-91 is slightly shorter, has a black top and higher 700 CCA rating. The other model (MTP-H6)looks just like the factory and has a lower 640CCA rating. The MTP-91 is cheaper than the MTP-H6......hmmmmmm. I just put the MTP-91 in my Aero a week ago.

I've got an 06 coupe (Alabastaaaa) and the white cased battery looks like my OEM.
It also has a small sticker on it that says "made in Spain".
I'm going into my first winter, so the X-fire has been sitting for about three weeks.
Today I tried to start things up and ---- nothing! I've never had a battery go so dead so fast. Not an ounce of juice.
I've also got an old Suzuki bike and I know alot of guys will charge on a trickle charger over the winter. Should I trickle charge or buy an Optima?
My wife an I just love this car!
Should I keep it forever?

Mix baking soda with a little water and paint on the corrosion, it brings them back sparkling. I used to use a specially treated felt washer that fitted the post under the cable clamp, this stopped this corrosion. I will look for them as they worked and lasted quite some time. Over time this corrosion will eat the clamp away and make it impossible to clamp on the post securely.

Just helpful info for others to reference.
