OK ladies and gentleman.

The cost of the tune is $499. Lets just call it $500.00
The cost of the Dyno will be $100.00

The dyno is optional and this will be used if we want a custom tune. Meaning...........

A. Jerry will tune your XF... cost $500
B. We will put it on the Dyno.... cost $100.
C. Jerry will retune the XF to maximize its performance. Add another $50.00 for Jerry's expertise.

Total cost will be between $500 - $650

Considering it cost me $500 for the tune plus the cost of Fed-Ex'g the ECU to Jerry, my cost was around $500. Then of course I had it Dyno'd before the CAI and after the 1st tune and guess what? I spent $600. And was without an XF for two days. And I would like another Dyno for comparison.

I think it is a pretty good deal. Plus, we get to pick Jerry's brain. Such a deal..........

We will or should I say that Jerry will need to know what your mods are.

AMX Jim and I (Randy) are trying to determine where everyone is from so we can start scheduling times. We will schedule locals early and late.

Please let us know where you are coming from so we can figure out how long it will take you to get to Ft. Lauderdale.

I will speak to Jerry (LET) on tuesday to find out what the approximent cost will be for a new tune and a retune. The Dyno will be $100.00 per car including a before, after and any adjustments that might be needed.

This will not be inexpensive. As you know Jerry is coming in from Chicago. There will be a post on the MB forum to bring in additional sick puppies, like myself who want to be able go faster and get there sooner and quicker and get better gas mileage.

I will tell you that the tune makes a big difference in your XF's low end pickup.

 

And don't worry about being shy. Money is very tight right now. It is somewhat costly to make your SRT a verry very quick car. If it is out of your reach right now, simply remove your name. You can always send your ECU to LET in Chicago at a later date and then be with out your baby for 2-4 days.

This is an opportunity that we should take advantage of if at all possible.

 

I wonder how many SRT's are in Florida. I know we did a tread for Florida XF's and I think it got up to around 80 that were members.

You understand correctly, that it is the infamous Nemo. You are welcome to join. But, we told Jerry that he can't make your MB faster than our SRT's......... LOL
