remove trunk interior panels on coupe
Can anyone point me to some directions on how to remove the trunk interior panels on the coupe?
More specifically, I'd like to remove the left and right wheel carpeted wheel well covers. I would like to install a considerable amount of soundproofing in there to cut down on road noise, but I don't want to destroy the fasteners in the process.
Thanks.

Re: remove trunk interior panels on coupe
The side carpet is easy to do. The black fasteners (they have a mercedes emblem in the middle!) pop out and are reusable. All you need is a small screwdriver to pull back the part with the emblem (it doesn't come out completely), once this is pulled out the entire fastener can be removed.
Sorry if this sounds confusing, but its really simple once you get back there. Once all the fasteners are out you can pull the carpet pieces out.

careful, i broke several clips putting mine back in. very brittle, and they're at weird angles that makes it hard to get back in place perfectly before popping the clips back in.
ignor, i was thinking of the upper rear sections. you shouldn't be getting to those.
