I really don't care how it works but that it does improve the fun factor in my car. If I had to do it again I'd buy it in a heart beat.
Best money I ever spent on mine is gas!!! I'm sure I've spent more than $300 on just that alone.

Ya know I have never seen so many people that would go to so much length to be so cheap. Hey if you are concerned or convinced they don't work don't buy one, save your money. Do a search on Sprint Booster and read all ( and I hope you have some time because there is a lot ) the posts and you will find only a couple that bought one that did not love it. If drive by wire lag does not bother you forget it but if it does I know of only one way to fix it and that is the SB. One reminder, the SB does not add HP.. But It does add power.

By the way if you own a sports car and want to do mod's on it and $300.00 is an expensive mod for you then maybe you should rethink what you want to do because a nice shift **** is about $100.00 and aluminum door lock pins will be about $40.00, don't ask about ECU remaps or pulleys because they are way over $300.00. JMHO

This says it all really.
I think it was the best $250 I spent on my Crossfire and nothing will change my mind.
I have literally been a spokesperson in many threads because I am so happy with the results of this tiny simple mod.
From the way I try to sell people on these you might even think I get a commission and of course I don't.

well I'm not cheap but I do tend to try and be an informed consumer. I was informing myself on the sprint booster and saw that report done by someone with way to much time on their hands. I also take into account the countless people here that swear by the sprint booster, a placebo can cure cancer they say, so i try and keep and open mind.

interesting read. I agree with the authors numbers. They spear to be real.
I will say if we had a cable like an older carburated car I would have changed the springs and length of cam arms and kickdown ratio to give the pedal the feel I wanted.
For what it's worth the sprint booster gives me similar results on the drive by wire.
I'm sure I could cut and modify stuff to achieve similar results but $250 is worth it to me to not ruin my parts.

Paul I found your installation pics and step by step instructions great. I received my SB yesterday and hope to have it installed by the time we get to Fredricksburg. Oh, BTW, will you bring your magnet with you? and maybe a spintite? How many lbs of leverage does it take to pry off the cap, and did you use a rubber hammer to put it back in place? hahaha, For those who haven't seen Paul's installation, go to Gallery, Albums, How to install SB, Paul W page 14. (Thank you Paul)

grt info manis...now, not only am I peeved at them going on sale, but all I really needed was a heavier foot...go figure...its installed, but it is good to know if the throttle goes dead or acts up, it could be caused by the SB...I like the SB, but I reset the throttle, even though I thought this to crazy, it does seem to work...any info on that???

If you take the Sb off and try a heavier foot you will find it isn't the same response as a SB, throttle lag caused by delay in electronics will remain the same no matter what the TPS position (0 to WOT). I was the second SB install on the forum and almost two years later have never needed to reset the throttle.

Say what you want but the SB makes your car feel a whole lot faster.

I agree! I was skeptic after reading the article but since everyone here loved theirs I thought I would give it a shot. As soon as I pressed the pedal I could feel the car jump alive! In a way I had to relearn to drive the car! Well worth the money!

i dont like the on to off throttle decel delay with the fly-by-wire
of course the heavy flywheel may play into that as well

i'll more than likely convert my car back to a throttle cable

Ok got mine last week. As you can see from my signature i'm not scared of a mod or two, but hand on heart if you have not tried one then do cos the car you was driving five mins before all of a sudden feels like the sports car it always should have been.
It complements more than well the other engine mods i've done.

I like the SB after I did the throttle reset...there wasn't any difference at first...throttle reset...it has performed flawlessly ever since...I have less rubber to prove it...it makes the throttle touchy, but you get use to it...but, when I did the install, I thought I had thrown my money away, for whatever reason, the throttle reset worked for me...I'm happy...
