I think we can all agree on how great it is to see a V-8 Crossfire running and driving. I have to comment on the installation. First class my man. When you get the last details done it's going to be a show stopper!

Yes, there are now three in the world. 2 in Germany and 1 in Texas. One was built by Brabus/Startech and two are do it yourselfers. Both of the other two oweners and been in communication with me and I appreciate their support. MAXIMUSQUO is the other do it yourselfer and has been contributing to this thread. One interesting thing is that all three cars are Saphire Silver Blue, so keep this in mind when arguing about which color is fastest

Do some searching on the Quaife and see what you think. They are based on the torsen differential. They are very unique in that they can shift torque back and forth and they shift the torque to the tire that has the most traction. If you have ever ridden in a car with one that is spinning the tires you can actually feel it searching for traction.

Here is one that fits a C32, CLK55 and Chrysler 5.7 Hemi (210 axle):
Quaife LSD (QDF7V) ATB Limited Slip Differential - Chrysler 5.7L Hemi (210 Axel), Mercedes Benz C32 AMG, CLK55 AMG

We need a new category for this thread, right above "sticky" called HALL of FAME.
Congrats LANTANA! I can only imagine how much fun your having right now.

Glad to hear. If there is demand Beckmann is considering offering ECU's already coded for this conversion so he doesn't have to spend hours on remote access in STAR DAS which isn't is regualr line of work. He told me he will definetley support at least two more conversions and maybe more if he can offer pre-coded ECU's. Even with coded ECU's there is still Immobilization programing that has to be done on the car. For those who want the set up and want it all done for them, Krause is willing to do the whole job for you. They wanted to make sure I could drive my car and learn what we need to know before commiting to helping others do it.

Hey Bob, I just had a curious thought. Would an E55 AMG engine fit under the hood of an SRT? It might be a great mod to swap a SRT engine for an E55. I wonder how much the cost would be to do this if: 1. you could find a decent deal on the E55 engine, and 2. sell the SRT engine. Now that would be some killer HP as a baseline to further mod... CAI, Pulley, ECU tune, Meth, etc.

I bet we could see an SRT in the 10s with the E55 engine. Hmmmm..... makes one think!

That is true Mike. Maybe I should specify.... In the 10s anytime... anywhere.... and not just one shot or bottle at a time. Does nitrous really count? I guess it is all in how you want to look at it. I like to know that the time I run at the track is the same power that I have when that overly optimistic badarss pulls up next to me at the light.

This could be argued ad nauseum in a thread of its own, but I did not overlook MDSRT6's time when I made my statement. I just did not consider it relevant to the question I was asking.
