OBDII Codes. P0600 & P0705
OBDII Codes. P0600 & P0705
I have a '06 XF roadster limited automatic with 3,700 miles on it. Today the check engine light came on. It would not come out of park. I used the multi tool to unlock the console shifter. The car moves now but will not come out of 1st gear.
Codes are P0600 - Serial comm link malfunction & P0705 Trans range sensor circuit malfunction (PRNDL input).
Anyone have any experience with this??? Help...

Re: OBDII Codes. P0600 & P0705
Have it picked up.
There is a sensor connection on the trans that caused my first crossfire to throw codes and lock into limp home mode. It was one of the first crossfires delivered to the US and they did not lock in the connector during production. Back then it took the dealer (not my dealer one in NY) three days to determine the issue.

I owe you big time. The dealer worked on the car Thursday afternoon and they were unable to fix it. I read you post Thursday night, called them first thing today and the connector seemed to be the problem. It didn't mess up any after they plugged it together. They added some dielectric grease also.
Thanks!
