Default TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)

Has anyone run into difficulty with the tire pressure sensors when you've decided to change rims? I am in the process of replacing the factory rims and have run into a snag with the sensors. It seems that the factory sensors configuration (size & shape) does not allow for easy transfer to another rim if the location of the valve stem is different. Factory valve stems are mounted in the side of the rim. My new wheels will have a center location, which does not agree with the sensors shape.

I assume that the sensors emit a signal that is picked up by a receiver, somewhere in the vehicle. Does anyone know of any after market sensors that can be configured to use the same frequency signal, or do I have to live with the warning light being on all the time?

Cool Re: TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)

No problem here, TPMS works fine with my Foose Speedster 5's.

One easy option is to choose wheels designed for mercedes. Such as these:

I'm glad that your speedsters work fine and that there is an "easy" way out when ordering wheels. However, neither of these options answers the question about aftermarket sensors. I interpret the non-answer as a "No" on the aftermarket option.
