Default Make your own cargo cover?

With all the interest in these covers I am surprised that nobody has made the leap and made one that fits from another model of these covers.

The Dodge Magnum cover is very nearly the correct size, surely there is a cover that will fit or can be made to fit.

Many seem to follow the same design and could be altered to suit I'm sure.

I started this thread some time ago and the Magnum cover was looked at.
Making a Cargo Cover. How hard can it be?

The Magnum cover was about $115. Even less now.

The Magnum body fits in pockets in the side walls of the trunk area, so the steel frame would have to be made along with the other bits and pieces.

How hard can that be?

Saving it as a retirement asset?

I have one on my bench, came from the NA, will be installed in the new car when I get off my a$$.

These are keeping their value better than the cars.

Wiuth the amount of interest in these, is there not someone we could approach to make one of these up. I would expect they would want a minimum order quantity, say 50 but I'm sure we could get that. I know of no one in the UK but there must be someone in the US who wants to make a few bucks. I'd pay $200 for a quality repro.

Going over the previous thread the Magnum cover could be used seemingly, there are two types.
The one with the 4" flap should be the best bet.
Both the CF and the magnum covers are 44" wide, with the 4" flap the Magnum cover is 1" short, the Magnum cover without the flap would be 5" short.
The rod on the Magnum cover would be 5" from the attachment points on the CF. Move the rod?
The rod on the Magnum cover with the flap comes at the start of the flap.
Maybe the Magnum cover could be taken apart and a new piece of material installed.
