How to disable DRL's on a Canadian Crossfire
Information to share;
Disabling DRL's (Daytime Running Lights) on Canadian Models can be done by simply swapping out the headlamp switch with one destined for the American market. In other words, a Headlamp Switch from any American Crossfire will render the headlamps in manual mode only. I have done this and it works.
Just to add; I found mis-information on the internet that suggests a CPU flash from the dealership can turn DRL's off or on. A dealership I contacted went to a lot of trouble to answer this question. They did a computer hookup on a '05 Crossifire and found no option to turn on or off the DRL's. Still not satisfied, they contacted Chrysler Detroit and the official word was "There is no option to turn on DRL's on American Crossfires and there is no option to turn off DRL's on Canadian/European Crossfires".
