Default Should it take from March to September to get a new top?

I took my letter and the Roadster into Allen Samuels in March. They kept it for 2 days and said I could pick it up, they would order the top and call me. In May I called and he said it take a few months, "I'll call you when it's in."

A few weeks ago I realized... I haven't got that call yet. 5 Months? So I called again.. I was told the advisor I was dealing with was out but would be back tomorrow to call then. I called the next day and was told this again. So I asked.. "That's what I was told yesterday, are you sure he will be in?" Well actually he is out for personal reasons-family illness, we're not sure when he will be back. OK, well I need to know when my top will be in, what's going on with this?

So they assigned me someone new. He said, let me look into this and call you back. A few days go by.... No call... So I call back.. He siad we have your letter, I have it turned into the Warrenty manager and she'll look at it. And then we'll set something up for you to come in and we can get the pictures and look at it so she can order the top. WHAT? I already had it in there, so now you're telling me I have to start over??? Anyway, he said "I'll call you back later today, if not then, I'll call you back tomorrow morning. I will call you back"

Guess what???? Over a week later and no call... So I call today and spoke with the Service Manager. He didn't really care to hear what has been going on, but said he would get my file and see what he could do. Calls me back and said he could order a new top and have it here by Tuesday.

Really???? So why did it take so long... lol he started telling me the whole story about the Crossfire.. Dude.. I'm on the crossfireforum.org site, I know this... I want to know why I started this in March and told I would be called and never get a call and today, 5-6 months later it will only take you a week........

He acted like I should be happy, like I had no reason to wonder why people say they would call and then never call, like I shouldn't question where the ball was dropped. I asked him, do you not understand why I am frustrated? He said I can't get you those answers. You can't answer weather or not you understand my frustration???

Seriously..

Sounds like a dealership to avoid. Anyone know of one worth visiting?

Took one of my Crossfires to Allen Samuels in Ennis,TX to have some work done on it. The service manager must have seen me coming, he came out as I was getting out of my car and said they don't work on Crossfires. At first I wasn't to happy about it, but it was good to know now before they got it apart and could not repair it.
Good luck with them.

I have some horror stories on this forum from Planet Dodge in Humble.

Bottom line, don't believe a word they tell you. You're responsible for verifing and following up on everything they say or do because of their extensive ineptitude.

Also, don't expect to recieve any courtesy, remorse, sympathty, or understanding from them.

They are stealerships and should be avoided whenever possible.

Sorry to hear about your horror story.. I had mind done by Freedom Chrysler Dodge in Duncanville, they ordered it and one week later Natalie was getting a new hat. No problems so far and it's been a year. I know they're not close to you but atleast they were nice.
