12:00 - 2:30 Meet at Motel 6 across from the Texas Motor Speedway
3:00 - 4:30 Head to Babe's for lunch
5:30 - 7:00 Meet at the TMS to do laps and take pictures
7:30 - ??? Back to the Motel 6
??? Ideas?




Is anyone interested in going to the Spring 2010 TMS Laps For Charity on Saturday, May 8th? I know I had a great time at both Spring and Fall events last year and I wouldn’t miss it for anything! I hope that we can get a group together this year.


According to the Cars and Coffee Show website, the show is on the first Saturday of the month, so unfortunately it doesn’t coincide with the TMS this year. If anyone knows differently, please speak up.

We can still do dinner at Babe’s around 3:00, then on to the laps and pictures, and Eeric again has graciously offered rooms at his motel for $35.99/night. The motel has a beautiful pool with a great patio for a gathering. Any other ideas for activities are welcome.


Post in this thread if you want to attend the event and PM Eeric with your reservation information for the motel.

I guess it would depend on the turn out for me as I was very disappointed with the way the officials ran the last time. Maybe this time will be different. I enjoyed being with fellow Crossfire owners so.....

 

We are going. Great fun both times last year. Went faster the first time (105) but had alot more fun the second time,hanging around with all great people for 2 days. Texas here we come.

The local gang discussed this for a bit on Sunday. We felt bad about the slow speeds, but would be willing to give it another try if people wanted to make this a meet. Same deal as last year, minus the Cars & Coffee in the a.m.

 

I agree that the speed issue is a big concern for everyone, but I'm with Joejet - the GTG with all the fantastic Crossfire people is the most enjoyable part of the weekend. And even if it was slower, it still is great to get to drive on the track and hang around on the infield...

Let me know the people that want to attend so I can reserve a time during the car club laps, and let Eeric know who wants to stay at his hotel. THANKS!

Sorry, everyone - I just found out that I started this thread in the wrong place...Valkryderguy fixed it by putting it in the South forum - thanks, Gary. This should take care of any problems people may have had replying to this thread.

 

SORRY you guys, as I have not been visiting the forum as often as I should, I forgot all about the TMS Laps for Charity, and we so enjoyed the September TMS. We now have a Local Car show organized in Houston on 9th May, so won't be able to make it. Sorry to miss you EERIC and the rest of you guys. See ya"ll again though, hopefully SOON.

I had a great time after flying in from Chi-town last fall.
I hope you have a successful turnout for this GTG.

To all you good friends I am certainly going to miss the cameraderie and fun of being with you again, but my best friend and I will be celebrating our 55th anniversery together, and after giving me a son and daughter, 5 grandkids and 5 great grandkids, I don't think it would be fair of me to run off and bust her plans. Hopefully we'll see you all o Set 11, Patriots Day for the next running.

We originally had a Car Show organized in Houston, for the same weekend as the TMS Laps for Charity weekend, but it has now been put back a week due to the Mothers Day weekend, which now leaves us FREE. So please reserve a room for us for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Us, being Terry, Margaret & Buddy the dog) NOW looking forward to seeing ya"ll again.
