What can I say. We Okies had one terrific weekend. We went to a couple of winerys sat. Then we went to Babes amd met everyone for a great chicken dinner. All drove over together to the track,and about 40 minutes later we were 14 Crossfires doing 100 mph together on the track. What an experience. Then for the next 2 hrs. or so we bragged about it. What a great group. Nice putting names and faces together we made a lot of new friends. After we finally left the track, Jon (OKC-XFR),and Sue,and Helena and me went back to the bar at our hotel and talked about it for another couple of hours.
Sun. we did the Grapevine mall for a couple of hours,then we drove back to OKC. Me and Helena pulled off at the Windstar Casino for a couple and she won $160.

Yes it does the next Laps for Charity is on Sept 26. Which is my 65th birthday.

Nice collection of Crossfires together for the event. Another board I am on, they had a bunch of Mustangs get together for this as well. Would love to have made the trip down to check this out, would have been great to see all those cars going around that track.

Gotta respect the big time drivers, you say you got up to 100MPH on the track, just think, that is about half of what the NASCAR drivers can get on there.

 

I consider the Chargers our step brothers, i was thinking about blowing away some Vette's

 

I have a whole new respect for the NASCAR drivers, and they have to do it over 300 times compared to our few laps. On our second time on the track they let us go faster, we were doing 100-120mph. Ripping into a high banked turn at over 100 will get your attention. Once you are over 100, it is time to turn off the stereo and grip the wheel with both hands
