Talking CTC February GTG

CTC members and any other XF owners that want to hook up:
Lets get a spot picked for February 8th, anyone have an idea they want to bring up?

We could take a round about run to Driftwood and pig out at the Salt Lick.

We could take a back road to La Grange and maybe get some Houston cars to meet us, La Grange also has some good eat'n.

We could go North to Salado or Temple and try to hook up with some cars from the North part of Gods country.

We could go the back way to Marble Falls, nice ride.

Lets........ geter done.........

Paul

Darn Paul, now I can't make up my mind. I like the idea of joining up with the other clubs if they are willing. It doesn't matter where we go just as long as we can socialize with our friends.

I'm concerned about some of our members constantly missing GTGs/meetings. It seems like the light has gone out and they are not interested in socializing, showing their car, having fun and making friends anymore.

Something I read a while back. "A car club is made up of people who want to meet other people who have the same interest in cars and want to have fun. If you are not having fun, what is the purpose of being in the club?"

The numbers have been low come on people lets have a great turnout.

I am in again. Not making much headway with the Houston crowd as of yet, but maybe they will chime in soon. Other than aftcg showing interest that is.

I am up for whatever, but I will lean my ideas towards La Grange area. My parents live out that way and I know the country fairly well. Lots of GREAT roads and places to eat.

One quick idea, will get more after lunch (all start and end zones are reversible):
1) Hwy 290 -> 237/159 stop and have lunch at Klump's in Round Top. Nice quaint cafe, good food, low cost. Took my Mustang club there once. Continue to La Grange play on the Bluff (VERY twisty hillside road) hang out/photo ops at a dock on the Colorado. Head out from there. Optional, cruise the desolate roads in West Point, nice country.

Great news John! I don't know what I would do with my baby in the shop that long

Temple would work as well since I be there on Saturday for my step brother's son's first birthday, and I could just stay the night. Of course the Salt Lick sounds cool, never been there.

Okay, we need some more people here...are just the 3 of us setting this up? We need some other people's opinions and conflicts to narrow this down.

What's a salt lick? Something we all lap with our collective tongues before the hunters hit us with a 3030? Ill bring a girl if that attracts more people. She's hot too!

Just in case, Big Head Todd and the Monsters are playing at Stubs March 30. A fantastic rock/blues band that all CTC's should see. Ill be there, too. With the girl and XF.

I shoulda figgered it was a bbq joint. Any good metrosexual eateries that serve sushi?

Maybe we finish the GTG on 6th street at the dualing piano bar. The block some rooms at the driscal so we can stumble home vs. drive.

UCHI in Austin is supposed to be one of the best/ most expensive in town- There is another one - the name escapes me at the moment- but the chef was trained by the Owners of NOBU in New York- Have not made it there but I believe it is near downtown and on a lower level?

BUT As far as for this GTG- Give me some BEEF not no sissy sushi!

Hey Jerad, looks like it's your plan:
Your mission, should you decide to accept it is to put together a great GTG. Should any team member be caught or killed, the CTC will disavow any knowledge of your actions, Good luck Jerad.
This message probably won’t self-destruct in five seconds!!

Get'er done......

3. John
4. Willie

Thumbs up Re: CTC February GTG

Whoop! You are coming to my neck in the woods!
(Jerad's idea, but I guess you could say Mrs. Jerad will work out the final details seeing as how I have more free time on my hands)
Has anyone heard if any of the other Newbies that were at the last G2G will come?

Picked up car yesterday, need to get something adjusted. Wouldn't do under 80 on IH10. Rodent damage was $1808.00
Thank goodness for $50 deductible. Had driver's sear heater repaired under warranty, still have 'till August on it.
See y'all at the dance, let me know the joinups.
