Really depends on what the offset of the wheel is. Offset makes the biggest difference when it comes to fitment. For example, a 19x9.5 +5 would have VERY different fitment than a 19x9.5 +55. Can you provide more info on the wheels?

The stock rear wheel is a 19x9 +22 w/ a 255/35/19.

Per WillTheyFit.com:

Looks like they should fit no problem.

Need to check at http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp but at 26.3" diameter you should be ok there, the offset is the key as mentioned.

I have esr sr08 19x10.5 +22 with 285/35R19 michelin zero pressure.
Fit good, but if you have adjusted camber arms will need to roll fender.
I have the arms, but have not had time to roll the fender, and want plenty of time set aside sine I have not needed to use a fender roller before.

Yes, 295/30 is only 26" and shorter than a 265/35. On my coupe the limit is 27" and the closest point is the front lip of the fenderwell when the wheel drops as far as possible (the rear geometry is such that as the rear drops it moves forward).

I had stock Conti DWSs on Crossfire wheels on the back of the SLK for a while but could tell if a run over cigarette butt was plain or filter - returned to a 245x50x16 in back (25.7") & 225x55x16 front and much nicer ride. Is a cruiser anyway.

Slk320 with Crossfire wheels/tires.

Padgett - Did this change your speedometer much? I'm another new guy to this forum and feel that my coupe rides hard. I'm looking for anyway to soften it up. Where did you get, or what make are the 16" wheels you put on that fit the bolt pattern and offset? I'd like the particulars on this swap.

Thanks in advance,

Jim

OK appears to be some confusion here. The Crossfire and the Mercedes SLK320/SLK32 are all on the Mercedes R170 platform. The wheel bolt patterns and hubs are the same 12x1.5mm 5x112. 67mm hub.

I have had my Crossfire coupe with 6-speed for going on four years. It is an Autocross/GT car. I just bought the SLK320 last year (I like the retractable hardtop have a fabric roofed roadster). Interiors are the same except for color and badging. SLK has white gauges which I find easier to read.

Had a spare set of Crossfire wheels and tires so tried them on the SLK. Ride was way too rough so put the original 16" wheels back on with one size larger BFG Comp 2s. Ride is more suited to a cruiser now.

So know the Crossfire wheels work on the SLK. What I do not know is if the SLK wheels will fit the Crossfire, my concern is clearance on the calipers and rotors but both seem to use the same calipers and rotors.

SLK with 16" wheels

Crossfire 18/19" wheels
