Went to OSW tonight
Went to OSW tonight
Weather was good today and I had just installed my manifolds that had been sitting around for over a year, so I decided to coax Kim to going to go to the track. ThumperSRT (Chuck) helped with the install but couldn't make it out unfortunately. Times ranged from mid to lower 12s, with a best tonight of 12.281 @ 113. Trap speeds weren't great and the track had been repaved recently leaving some nasty ruts up top. So bad a GTO ate the wall once the temps got below 65. I'll see if I can upload videos through my phone or update the thread and add them from my PC.
Re: Went to OSW tonight
N/W manifolds leaned out my AFR's enough to be worried. That doesn't explain the 113 though. But again, 113 fits perfectly with 12.281 based on my cars past runs. Perhaps the ECU is adapting or the DA wasn't as good as the 114.90 night. Either way, I hope you had fun and I'd love to see the vids! If this was on street tires I tip my hat to you.

Yes Les, on street tires always. I really need to invest in a wideband setup soon so I can log my AFRs. I haven't had a chance to contact EC about a retune for the change and the ECU didn't get much time to learn. All in all, I guess should be happy with those times.
Re: Went to OSW tonight
You don't loose power running lean ….. unless ultra mega lean or until you blow up. My memory could be off but I believe the N/W manifolds leaned out my AFR's by .5. E/C is normally conservative with their tunes so your most likely still OK, especially if you use 93 octane. But yes, get E/C in the loop just in case. My best on street tires was 12.75. I blame it on my flat floppy numb feet.
