I did use 2 SLK hitches to start with, but they are nothing like what they started out as. It would be cheaper and faster just to measure mine and have your hitches made up. I would be happy to let someone with the technical ability measure and do up a set of prints as long as the result would be free to everyone else.

I'm still looking for a trailer, but I have two times the load capability of an SLK and the hitches are mounted the same way a SLK hitch is installed. My intent is to hall a small, less then 600 lb total weight trailer to support tires and tools for a day at the track.

Thanks
My apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but seems that we are lacking the conclusion to a good story.

To BLACKSRT-6 (if you're still around), how did your trailer hitch turn out? Any feedback one way or the other? Are you satisfied with its performance? And just which 2 SLK hitch receivers did you start out with? Part numbers, please. More pic's, please.

Bravo for a really clever installation.

Hambelton - Starting out with the SLK hitches seemed to be the best idea in the begining, but if I had to do it again I would just use stock steal (much cheaper). I wound up cutting the hitches apart to make everything work, in the end the SLK hitches were just steal pieces that I welded back together the way I needed them. Everything works perfectly. I have towed over 4K miles with this set-up without issue. I would have to pull the rear bumper, defusers and trunk covers to give you any photo's that would help you do this job. On the inside you have to pull every panel in the trunk to access the pans, its a pain in the butt.

I have been looking for someone with graphic capabilities to draw the package up, but haven't found anyone who would do it. Sorry not to be more help.

hey Howard... That would look great if you could figure out a way to fabricate a SRT-like wing for the trailer.
